The Temple of All. The Love of All.
The show I directed for ALMAZ at Bucharest Fashion Week was about faith, love, and diversity. A temple without walls, where fashion became a form of communication without barriers. People from different worlds came together in a story told through style, sound, and presence. From church bells to urban beats, from screams to prayers, from darkness to sunrise – love was our journey.
We’re closing Bucharest Fashion Week with an event that is not just a party, but a statement about change, innovation, and reimagining the future. The proposed concept brings together art, culture, and technology, creating a memorable experience where the past and the future meet in a unique visual and conceptual performance.
The fashion event directed by Carmen Lidia Vidu for the Almaz brand at Bucharest Fashion Week was a groundbreaking showcase of creativity, where every element—from scenography to music—was meticulously crafted to deliver a truly immersive experience. The show featured a striking, large heart as a central scenographic element, symbolizing the emotional core of the narrative. Carmen Lidia Vidu's direction transformed the runway into a powerful, thought-provoking performance, with evocative music and innovative design enhancing the emotional depth of the presentation. Acclaimed by international press outlets such as Vogue and ELLE, the event not only highlighted the fashion but also celebrated the artistic vision, powerful storytelling, and emotional resonance of the show, solidifying its place as a valuable and unforgettable moment in the global fashion scene.
From 2003 to the present day I have directed over 50 cultural and commercial events for various brands such as Pro TV, Acasa TV, Olay, Oskar, Marie Claire, Astra Film Festival, Ursus, Redds, Romanian Government, Luxury Show, National Museum of Art, Absolut Vodka, Evo-Mol, Tourism Ministry.
